Marvin Ghent Trotter
Dr. Trotter is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician who has been with Pacific Redwood Medical Group since 1986.
He became interested in Medicine as a teenager while working with Amigos de las Americas in Guatemala, Honduras, and Paraguay. He spent five summers, from 1968-72, providing immunizations to children and adults. Out of this experience he developed an appreciation for the needs of the medically underserved of the world. This experience led him to becoming Public Health Officer for Mendocino County.
Working upstream on various issues helps balance the waterfall of the Emergency Department. One notable recent example was coordinating fundraising for the Ukiah Valley Culture and Recreation Center.
Originally from Texas, Marvin has lived in Mendocino County since 1986. He has 3 children, ages 16, 19, and 23, who have a variety of interests. He enjoys the outdoors, sports, environmental issues, politics, and travels to Texas, Baja, and Berkeley.
A large part of his social network involves members of PRMG and spending time at a cabin on the coast, near Elk, California.
