Our TeamLisa MacCormack, MD, FACEPDr. MacCormack is a Board-Certified Emergency Physician who has been with Pacific Redwood Medical Group since 2000. She is a member of both the California Medical Association and the American College of Emergency Physicians. She was elected Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians in 2002. Attending college at Columbia University, where she was a Rhodes Scholar Finalist, Dr. MacCormack emphasized the importance of working with underserved communities. She has done a variety of volunteer work in Harlem New York, worked in free medical clinics in Mexico, and has worked with Aboriginal health services in South Australia. She received specialized training from the FBI and other government agencies while working for the National Medical Response Team in preparing for national chemical, biological, or nuclear terrorist attacks in the United States. She has also worked with Disaster Medical Assistance Teams and has been actively involved with pre-hospital care serving as a Physician Advisor for both rural and urban Emergency Medical Systems in Colorado. She has served active duty as a Major in the United States Army Reserves. Most recently she has worked as a consultant for Mendocino County Public Health Department in their preparation for biological or chemical community threats and is the Physician advisor for Wild Iris, an internet-based educational company providing training to prehospitals and nursing care providers. Dr. MacCormack enjoys lakeside living in Lake County with her husband and two children. In addition to spending time outdoors with her family, she also enjoys gardening and hiking.
