Our TeamWanbli Franklin, MD, FACEPDr. Franklin is a Board-Certified Emergency Physician who joined Pacific Redwood Medical Group in 1999. He is interested in medical education and has provided clinical care and taught with international relief groups in Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East-including Iraq. He also served as a Senior Emergency Medicine Consultant for King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia in 2006. He is also a Medical Expert Reviewer for the California Medical Board. A member of several American medical associations, he was elected Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians in 2003. In addition to international emergency medicine, he is interested in ED-ultrasound and quality assurance. Wanbli (who is Lakota-American) has also studied traditional Native-American healing for over twenty years. Wanbli lives on the Mendocino Coast with his wife, Lauren. They have been married for over 20 years and have two college-aged sons. He enjoys reading non-fiction, hiking, and good food-whether Chez Panisse or hot dogs at the beach. Favorite backpacking sites include the Bridger-Teton, Desolation Wilderness, and Northern Laotian Highlands. His prescription for a Perfect-Day includes hanging-out at the beach with his German Shepherd Dog, hiking with friends, and a motorcycle ride on Mendocino/Sonoma County roads.
